Show Review from the Birmingham Owl:

It is standing room only again this week. George Layton's 'Phonograph Girl' is a new musical fantasia. The first scene is in a phonograph shop in Oxford Street; the second 'On the Sands', and the third, a conservatory in 'Lord Somerville's house'. The dresses are good, the music is pleasing and there are good songs and dancing. The principal is the comic man 'Crookie Shanks' played by Archie Dandoe.
