- Apollo, The Ideal Athlete – in his original entertainment, introducing his famous Sack of Flour Contest, for which he offers £10 to any local man who has not previously won a prize and who will carry off a sack of flour weighing over 280lbs. Apollo performs the feat on Friday Evening at the Second Performance and in the event of failure must forfeit £50 to Local Charities. The sack of flour is given to the man making the best attempt only.
