Show Review from the Birmingham Owl:

Ralph Johnstone's feat of lifting himself and his bicycle simultaneously step after step up a flight reaching twenty feet above the stage is performed with 'much humour and some perspiration'. 'The name of the firm making his bicycle ought to be made known'. Captain Taylor's troupe of elephants appear to be as docile as they are intelligent.
