A pale cover with a jester’s stick topped by a laughing fool’s head. The stick lies over a Union Jack pattern and is signed ‘Astrop’. ‘Hippodrome, Birmingham’ heads the top of the cover and ‘Programme’ the base. On the back of the programme are various adverts. Inside is the line-up for ‘The Dorchester Follies’, presented by Maurice Winnick Productions. The show commenced for a week on Monday 22 September 1941 with performances twice nightly at 15:45 and 18:00.
