A programme, Tom Arnold’s production of ‘Gay’s The Word’, which was written and composed by Ivor Novello. Featuring a cast including Cicely Courtneidge, Elizabeth Webb and Thorley Waters in the musical play in two acts. Performance times were: evenings at 19:15, matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 14:00. The front cover is blue, white and pink and features an illustration of two hands holding a programme with three ladies in ball gowns on the cover. The inside contains advertisements for forthcoming shows, a list of acts and adverts for local businesses. The programme was three pence. The show commenced on Monday 22 January and ran until Saturday 10 February 1950.
