A pale cover tri-fold programme. The front has a jester’s stick topped by a laughing fool’s head. The stick lies over a Union Jack pattern and is signed ‘Astrop’. ‘Hippodrome, Birmingham’ heads the top of the cover and ‘Programme’ the base. On the back of the programme are various adverts. The production commenced on Monday 15 June 1942 with performances twice nightly at 17:30 and 19:45. Produced by Maurice Winnick. The variety bill consisted of: Overture; The Dorchester Lovelies; Lorna Martin; Ernest Shannon; John Worthy & Bert Jarrett; Sherkot; Intermission; Maurice Winnick presents The Dorcester Follies featuring Maurice Winnick and his Orchestra. programme cost 2d. The programme has a hole torn in the middle of the main programme print.
