Variety performance programme, Birmingham Hippodrome

The programme has a red cover showing an external drawing of the theatre and cost one penny to buy. Internal pages show photographic views of theatre spaces. The theatre was managed by The New Birmingham Hippodrome, Ltd and the theatre manager Ben De Frece. The theatre slogan was ‘The most select variety entertainment in Birmingham’. Performances took place every evening at 18:50 and 21:00. The bill in order of appearance was Overture, Tod Lowen (comedian), Mr. G. P. Huntley & H. Grattan (in ‘Buying a Gun’), Herbert LaMartine (dancer), Harry Claff (operatic novelty), Franco Piper (banjo player), The Waldrons (comedy artistes), Will E. Stopit (eccentric fellow), Dale & O’Malley (comedians), Miss Helen Charles (pianist, mimic and siffleuse) and Animated Pictures.
