The handbill shows an image of Birmingham Hippodrome at the top with its distinctive Moorish tower. The illustration is surrounded by a decorative border and a scroll reading ‘The most select variety entertainment in the city’. It advertises a twice nightly bill every evening from 18:50 and 21:00. The bill in order of appearance was Perkins the Purser, Eily Beadell (contralto), The Two Boyds (entertainers), Pichel & Scale (acrobats), Ray Ford, Wilson-Heriot Trio, Frank Armstrong, Animated Pictures and Fred Karno presenting ‘The New Slavery’. Tickets in the Gallery cost 2d, Pit 4d, Circle 6d, Stalls 1/- and Boxes 10/6.
