Gert and Daisy

Gert and Daisy were the two characters of a British female comedy act (Elsie and Doris Waters) who are particularly remembered for their contribution to film and radio entertainment during World War II.

A review described them as “Elsie and Doris Waters are more truly quick-change artists than many who earn that title merely by their quickness in changing from one costume to another. They can divest themselves instantaneously of the mental outlook of one set of characters and take them upon themselves the very speech and being of wholly dissimilar characters.”
